Permanent Magnet AC Dyno Solution

This 400 hp (298 kW) ac dynamometer solution features a permanent magnet motor that has very low inertia. It is used to test permanent magnet “pencil” electric motors for downhole pumps. The plate on the front was used to mount the customer’s device under test. The blower cooled, regenerative dynamometer also shows the calibration arm in its stored position attached to the side of the foot-mounted base.
